Cellular Shades
What is a Cellular Shade? A cellular shade features two layers of fabric with a heat-welded seam every inch (or more), creating “cells” of air that provide both thermal properties and a distinct appearance. The fabric is naturally light-filtering and offers excellent privacy due to the dual layers. For light-blocking specifications, a metallic layer is added inside the cells.
Cellular shades are our top-selling window covering. While Duette and Applause are the familiar classic cellular products, Sonnette is a new version that combines a cellular and roller shade with the appearance of a Roman shade.
A helpful hint: Our most frequently asked question regarding cellular shades is how to clean out accumulated bugs or debris from inside the cells. The solution is simple: use a hairdryer on the no-heat setting and aim it into each cell along the side of the shade to blow out any minor debris.
Provides the highest level of thermal insulation of any Hunter Douglas / Alta product. Available as bottom-up shades and top-down / bottom-up shades allowing you to control your view. Cellular shades have one of the smallest head rail size, allowing it to be mounted in windows with small frames.
